However, due to rising prices of cattle feed, many farmers are worried about making a profit from selling these animals.

In Natore, more than 20 Thousand small and large farms have prepared around 2 lac 826 cattle for sacrifice this year. 

There are also goats and sheep ready for the occasion. In Gopalganj district, farmers are preparing over 41Thousand  cattle for Eid, which is about 5 thousand more than the local demand. 

However, farmers say that in recent years, the prices of sacrificial animals have not increased in proportion to the rising cost of feed, causing financial concern. 

The Department of Livestock is providing advice and various forms of support to livestock farmers.
