Special prayers were also offered for protection from diseases and suffering. 

In the capital, the devotees began arriving at the National Eidgah and National Masjid Baitul Muqarram in Dhaka from different parts of the city to take part in Eid prayers. 

However, following the Eid congregation, the muslims across the country offered special munajat seeking peace, prosperity and wellbeing for the country, the Muslim Ummah and oppressed people around the world, including those in Palestine.
