District Commissioners (DCs) have returned to their workplaces with several important directives following the recent DC conference.
Meanwhile, analysts say, the government’s message to the DCs was to work as public servants dedicated to serving the people.
They also emphasized the need to maintain balance between District Commissioners and Superintendents of Police (SPs) in recovering illegal weapons and controlling the law and order situation.
Although DCs have been instructed to work in coordination with elected representatives, challenges remain as most Members of Parliament are newly elected. The four-day DC conference was held from May 3 to May 6 at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium in the capital.
During the conference, the Prime Minister, ministers and state ministers delivered a series of important directives for field-level administrators.
