The United States chapter of FIFA World Cup 2026 began with a grand opening ceremony at SoFi Stadium. 

Around 80,thousand fans watched performances by Katy Perry, Blackpink’s Lisa, Future, and Anitta. 

The 48-team tournament featured three separate opening ceremonies for the first time. 

Meanwhile, the USA made a strong start, taking a 3-0 lead against Paraguay before halftime.
