Speaking at a seminar titled "The Role of the Media in Sustainable Democracy," organised by the Television Editors' Council at a hotel in Tejgaon, Dhaka, Fakhrul urged opposition parties to address political differences through parliamentary debate rather than street protests. He called on the opposition to engage in discussions in parliament to resolve national issues.
