Attorney General Md.Asaduzzaman told the Appellate Division that some issues related to the 15th Constitutional Amendment may be best left to the next Parliament as hearings continue.
Responding to concerns about delaying the case, he said the government seeks a clear ruling.
The Chief Justice noted the court wants to avoid a judgment that may attract future criticism.
The 15th Amendment, passed in 2011, abolished the caretaker government system.
