Preliminary assessments by various departments including fisheries, livestock, agriculture, and infrastructure reveal damages running into several hundred crore taka. 

In Noakhali, around 52 thousand residents across 5 low-lying upazilas remain marooned. 

Thousands of homes have been destroyed, while roughly 8,thousand hectares of aus and aman paddy fields, as well as vegetable crops, have been affected.

 Additionally, over 13, thousand fish farms have been washed away, exacerbating the crisis for local communities.
