Four people have been killed and several others injured in a gunfight between two armed groups at Dighinala in Khagrachhari. The incident took place around 8:30 pm last night.
According to police, a group of 40–45 armed men led by UPDF commander Biplob Chakma and another group of 35–40 armed men led by JSS commander Joydeb Chakma engaged in an intense exchange of gunfire in Jora Sindhu Karbari-para area.
Preliminary reports informed that four members of UPDF in the clash. However, UPDF has denied any casualties on their side. Dighinala Police Station's OC confirmed the incident of gunfire in that area.
