France, Spain, and the UAE air-drop humanitarian aid to Gaza as malnutrition soars. On Friday, France started to air-drop 40 metric tons of humanitarian aid to Gaza as it urged Israel to allow full access to the area which it said was slipping into famine.

President Emmanuel Macron wrote on social media platform X, Airdrops are not enough. Israel must open full humanitarian access to address the risk of famine. Spain also delivered 12 metric tons of humanitarian aid to Gaza by airdropping it over the Strip on Friday.

The operation involved one Airbus A400 military aircraft dropping over 5,500 food rations “aimed at alleviating the ‘induced famine’ in Gaza caused by the humanitarian blockade imposed by Israel”, the Spanish government said in a statement. Meanwhile, Israeli forces killed 106 Palestinians in one day of attacks on Gaza.
