Order has been restored at petrol stations in the capital following the introduction of Fuel Pass system. Customers no longer need to wait 7–8 hours in long queues for fuel. Besides, Motorcycles and vehicles are waiting there 10–20 minutes.
Since Wednesday morning, rainfall in the capital has further reduced pressure at fuel stations, with no long vehicle queues even amid adverse weather conditions.
Improved fuel supply and price adjustments have also helped ease the situation.Customers say, if all petrol stations in the capital remain open regularly, waiting time in queues would decrease further.
Authorities, however, state that consumers are now following discipline at stations, and with further improvement in supply, normal conditions are expected to return gradually.
