Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has said, his government is working to ensure better treatment for the people of the country.
He also said, initiatives have been taken to expand quality healthcare services beyond major cities.
The Prime Minister made the remark this morning while inaugurating a new 500-bed extension building at National Institute of Neurosciences and Hospital in Agargaon, Dhaka, aimed at expanding treatment facilities for neurological patients.
With the new facility, the hospital’s total capacity will rise to 1,000 beds.
The 15-storey building includes three basement levels for parking and service facilities.
The upper 12 floors house wards, operating theatres and diagnostic units.
After inaugurating the new building, the PM also planted a sapling on the hospital premises.
