Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister, Afroza Khanom has said, government will adopt a zero-tolerance policy for Hajj management from next year, pledging strict action against corruption, irregularities, harassment, and syndicates while ensuring more affordable Hajj packages.
The minister made the remark on Saturday during the closing ceremony of the three-day Hajj and Umrah Fair at the China Friendship Conference Center in Agargaon, Dhaka.
Organized by the Hajj Agencies Association of Bangladesh (HAB), the fair featured 167 Hajj agencies along with several financial service providers.
On the final day, large numbers of prospective pilgrims visited the exhibition stalls to gather information on Hajj and Umrah services.
