Govt decides to reopen eight abandoned airports: State Minister for Civil Aviation

State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism M.Rashiduzzaman Millat has said, the government has decided to reopen eight abandoned airports, including those in Bogura and Thakurgaon.

Speaking at a four-day Deputy Commissioners’ conference held at Osmani Memorial Auditorium, the state minister said, steps have been taken to launch operations at Cox’s Bazar International Airport within three months and third terminal of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport by December. 

 

 

Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister, Afroza Khanam Rita said, Deputy Commissioners have been advised to make Bangladesh’s tourism sector more attractive. 

 

 

Meanwhile, Cultural Affairs Minister Nitay Roy Chawdhury said, recommendations have been made to conduct new archaeological explorations and renovate old art buildings and libraries.
