Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has alleged that efforts are being made to establish one-party rule in the country.
The Jamaat Chief also claimed that the government has failed to curb extortion and that bribery and corruption have increased compared to previous years.
Speaking as a chief guest at a Jamaat workers' rally in Narayanganj city on Friday afternoon, he further said, Awami League had begun belittling opposition parties in Parliament and that the BNP is now continuing the same practice.
He also alleged that BNP had quietly campaigned for a “No Vote” option during elections.
Later, Jamaat announced former Chhatra Shibir president Maulana Abdul Jabbar as its candidate for Narayanganj City Corporation election.
