Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has said, his government is working to reduce the flow of patients to the capital by increasing the number of beds and improving healthcare services at district and Upazila hospitals.
The premier made the remark while attending the 81st founding anniversary programme of Dhaka Medical College Hospital this morning.
During the event, the Prime Minister took part in an open discussion with newly graduated doctors and responded to their questions.
Earlier, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman visited Dhaka Medical College, laid the foundation stones for two female students' dormitories, and planted a tree on the campus.
