Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed has said that the government will approve an indemnity ordinance for the July fighters. He made the remarks while speaking to the media just before entering a meeting of the special parliamentary committee at the National Parliament.
The minister also said that public expectations will be given priority in matters related to the Constitution and reforms.
He added that the future of 133 ordinances will be decided within the next 30 days.
Earlier, Jamaat-e-Islami Senior Nayeb-e-Ameer Professor Mujibur Rahman said the party would give its opinion on the ordinances by considering both public expectations and constitutional issues.
Meanwhile, the special committee meeting began in the cabinet room of the National Parliament with Advocate Zainul Abedin in the chair.
