Govt to launch a pilot project from July to distribute jute-made school bags and uniforms.
In the first phase, one lakh students will receive the items free of cost.

The government is set to introduce jute-based school bags and uniforms from July under a pilot programme.In 1st phase, the initiative will cover 1 lakh students, with two schools from each upazila included in the programme.
The items will be distributed free of cost.Officials say the project aims to increase the use of jute products while also ensuring equality between boys and girls through a standardised school dress code.
Following a meeting with the Prime Minister on the school bag distribution initiative, Adviser Dr. Mahdi Amin said the programme is being designed to promote sustainability and uniformity in education.
