A five-year Primary Education Development Programme will begin from 1ST OF July. This information was shared in Parliament during the Prime Minister’s question-and-answer session. Under this programme, remaining teachers will be trained in English.
The 13th National Parliament session resumed today at 11:00 AM. The session had been adjourned after April 10 and was scheduled to resume at 11:00 AM on Wednesday.
The first 30 minutes of the session were allocated for the Prime Minister’s questions. During this time, the Prime Minister answered various questions from Members of Parliament. In response to a question, he said that a feasibility study is being conducted to establish an economic zone for the development of people in coastal districts of the southern region. He also added that work is ongoing on the Blue Economy in line with the government’s manifesto.
Afterwards, discussions continued on important public interest issues as well as the question-and-answer session for ministers.
