First hajj flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines has left Dhaka for Saudi Arabia on Thursday. Earlier, Minister of Religion Faridul Haque Khan visited the airport.
The first flight left Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 4:10 am on Thursday for Saudi Arabia with 409 pilgrims. The second flight left at 7:20 am with 419 passengers.
After inspecting the Hajj flight at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Thursday morning, the Minister of Religion, Faridul Haque Khan urged all concerned to serve the pilgrims properly.
However, this year, 83 thousand 178 pilgrims from Bangladesh are scheduled to go to Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj.
Meanwhile, common passengers of the airport, reported harassment at various times. However, the Airport Director said, various measures are being taken to stop passenger harassment.
