British-Bangladeshi footballer Hamza Choudhury received a surprise political pitch during his first Eid celebration with the Bangladesh national football team.
On his way to Eid prayers at Shahbagh Jame Mosque in Dhaka, Hamza and fellow players, including Fahamidul, were warmly greeted by fans.
One enthusiastic admirer jokingly suggested Hamza run for Parliament from Habiganj. Laughing, the Premier League player responded, “Football first.”
Though his family hoped he’d join them in Habiganj for Eid, Hamza chose to remain in camp with his teammates.
Isa Faisal, another national player, shared he missed his family but wished to celebrate by beating Singapore in their upcoming match.
