The trial proceedings of 3-member tribunal  headed by Justice Golam Mortuza Majumder were broadcast live.

Earlier, the court granted state defense's request and set a hearing date for the framing of charges against Sheikh Hasina and three others. 

The state said, apart from former PM Sheikh Hasina, the other two accused in the case are former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal and former IGP Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun. 

Earlier, the state submitted formal charges against 3 people to the tribunal on 5 charges of crimes against humanity including murder, conspiracy, and incitement.
