After three days of moderate to heavy rainfall across the country due to the active monsoon, the weather office has predicted some relief, forecasting a gradual decrease in heavy rain from Sunday.
According to Meteorologal department , rainfall in Chattogram has reduced significantly compared to the previous day.
The port city recorded 211 millimetres of rain in the past 24 hours, compared to 329 millimetres the day before.
Heavy rainfall is still continuing in parts of Khulna, Rajshahi and Barishal divisions, with intermittent showers expected throughout the day.
However, the meteorologists said heavy rainfall is likely to decrease from Saturday and Sunday.
He also said river port warning signals may be withdrawn from tomorrow.
