Heavy rainfall has caused widespread waterlogging in several low-lying areas of Chattogram city after two days of continuous downpours. Knee-deep water has inundated many neighbourhoods, while in some areas the flooding has risen to waist level.
Among the worst-affected locations are Chawkbazar, Katalganj and Agrabad, leaving residents struggling to move around the city.
The waterlogging has disrupted daily life, causing major hardship for office workers, students and day labourers travelling since morning.
According to the Patenga Meteorological Office, 330.8 millimetres of rainfall was recorded in Patenga until 9 am.
