Although many farmers managed to cut their crops, lack of sunlight, prevented them from drying the paddy properly. 

With sunshine returning over the past two days, farmers are now rushing to save their crops. 

In Sunamganj, farmers are drying and collecting paddy as recent rains damaged crops. 

Owing to  the heavy rainfall and waterlogging the estimated losses stand at nearly Tk 4 billion, though farmers say the real damage is higher.
