Millions of Muslim pilgrims dressed in white Ih-ram are gathering in Mina, with the sound of “Labbaik Allahumma Labbaik” echoing everywhere. Pilgrims from around the world have arrived at the huge tent city of Mina as the main Hajj rituals begin today.
Following instructions from the Saudi authorities, pilgrims started traveling to Mina on Sunday.
The Bangladesh Hajj Office said all preparations have been completed for Bangladeshi pilgrims.
The Pilgrims will stay in Mina on Monday.
On Tuesday morning, they will leave for the plains of Arafat, where the most important ritual of Hajj will take place.
This year’s Hajj sermon will be delivered by Sheikh Ali bin Abdul Rahman Al-Hudhai-fi, the chief Imam and Khatib of Masjid an-Nabawi.
Around 1.6 to 1.8 million Muslims are expected to perform Hajj this year, including nearly 78,500 pilgrims from Bangladesh.
