A hospital in Ukhiya’s Kutupalong camp has been vandalized after allegations of medical negligence led to the death of a Rohingya patient.
The patient, Idris, was admitted to an IPD hospital on Tuesday night in critical condition and later died during treatment.
Family members and residents of Block D alleged that negligence by doctors and nurses caused his death.
They gathered at the hospital in protest, and the situation escalated into vandalism, with several pieces of furniture damaged.
Law enforcement later arrived and brought the situation under control.
Authorities say an investigation is underway and legal action will be taken if negligence is confirmed.
