The Department of Explosives has detected hydrogen sulfide gas aboard the vessel involved in an accident at a shipbreaking yard in Bhatiary, Sitakunda, Chattogram.
Meanwhile, the government has said, strict action will be taken if any negligence or dereliction of duty by the shipyard is found.
Nine workers died from gas poisoning while cutting the vessel at Ferdous Steel Shipyard in Bhatiary on Friday morning.
Those injured in the accident are undergoing treatment at Chattogram Medical College Hospital.
The bodies of all nine workers were handed over to their families on Friday night. Relatives received the bodies from Chattogram Medical College Hospital.
No case has yet been filed over the deaths of the nine workers.
