Director General of the Directorate General of Consumer Rights Protection AHM Shamuzzaman has said, in the marketing of electronics products there is inconsistency between different offers. A 100% cashback offer is offered which is not possible to implement, added he.
He said this at a view exchange meeting with representatives of manufacturers, importers and marketers of electronics product. He also said that the campaign was carried out even after the offer.
As a result consumers are often cheated. Besides, the maximum retail price is not written on the product, various warranty seals are illegally placed on the product.
He said, the observation of the National Consumer Rights Protection Directorate has revealed such a picture. The Director General urged the concerned to take steps to ensure that consumers are not cheated through the offer.
