The Indian Border Security Force, BSF, has allegedly attempted to push people into Bangladesh through several border points. Bangladesh’s Border Guard, BGB, and local residents stopped the attempts in different areas.

A woman was allegedly pushed towards Bangladesh by the BSF through the Rokonpur border in Chapai nawabganj late at night on a boat.

Local residents rescued her and handed her over to the BGB.

She is now staying near the zero line. In the same area, seven Bangladeshi nationals were detained for allegedly assisting a BSF push-in attempt.

Similar incidents were reported in Lalmonirhat and Jamalpur borders, where BGB and locals prevented the attempts.

Meanwhile, nine people, including women and children, have been staying at the zero line in Kurigram’s Roumari border for two days without a solution.
