India Flood: At least 10 dead in Nagpur in 24 hrs

Rains have claimed at least 10 lives in India's Nagpur in the last 24 hours. This includes six who died after their vehicle was swept away in Saoner.

Nagpur district has received 476 mm of rainfall so far which is over 100 mm more than the average for the period. Orange alert will continue till Thursday.

Meanwhile, heavy rains accompanied by strong winds lashed Mumbai and suburbs and also flooded many parts of the city within a couple of hours, throwing road traffic out of gear at some places.

Heavy showers occurred at isolated places in east Rajasthan while a few other parts of the state recorded light to moderate rains. Mount Abu and Pratapgarh recorded a maximum of 8 cm of rainfall in a day.
