An Indian Air Force transport aircraft has crashed in Assam during landing, killing five people.
The AN-32 aircraft went down at the Jorhat Air Force Station on Saturday, according to the Indian Air Force.
The crash occurred inside the airbase premises during landing, and the aircraft caught fire immediately after impact.
Emergency rescue teams rushed to the scene to control the blaze and manage the situation.
The Air Force has confirmed the deaths of five personnel and said an investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the accident.
