Israel’s defense and finance ministers have announced more than $400 million in funding for expanding construction in the occupied West Bank and establishing three new settlements in Gaza.
Defense Minister Israel Katz (ইসরায়েল কাৎজ ) said, plans are underway to build three settlements in northern Gaza.
Meanwhile, Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich (বেজালেল স্মোট্রিচ) announced 1.3 billion shekels in funding for more than a dozen new Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank.
However, Israel’s national elections scheduled for October 27 and Benjamin Netanyahu’s right-wing coalition approaching the end of its term, the government has been accused of intensifying efforts to expand control over Palestinian territory.
