The move comes as thousands of worshippers are expected to gather, for Jumu’ah prayers.

Israeli authorities, have deployed additional police and security forces across Jerusalem, significantly increasing surveillance at key entry points, especially for Friday prayers during Ramadan. 

Officials said, the security measures come, amid expectations of large crowds of worshippers at Al-Aqsa Mosque. 

Meanwhile, the Mosque authority stressed the importance of ensuring easy access for worshippers, and maintaining a peaceful environment. 

Meanwhile, thousands of people, have already begun gathering at the mosque compound.
