India’s Jharkhand has announced the cancellation of government job recruitment and exams held since 2014, following student protests.

The state's Chief Minister Hemant Soren announced the cancellation of government job recruitments and exams held since 2014. 

 

 

He also ordered an investigation into alleged irregularities in exams conducted by JPSC and JSSC- CGL. The CID will investigate problems in all exams held since 2014.

 

 

A committee led by IAS officer Amitabh Kaushal will also be formed to reform the examination system. 

 

 

However, students say they will continue their protests and hunger strike until the government agrees to a CBI investigation.
