Law Adviser Dr Asif Nazrul has said, July-August genocide trial would be free from influence. He also said, government is trying to create suitable environment for national polls. He said, Interim Government has started taking preparation to hold national polls.
United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Falkar Turk, who is visiting Dhaka, met with the Law Adviser at the Secretariat this morning.
After the meeting, Dr Asif Nazrul told the media that the reform initiatives taken by the current government in various fields have been discussed to ensure human rights.
Falkar has also been assured that the trial of July-August massacre is possible in accordance with the law, not revenge. The adviser said that the fact-finding committee is working on the July massacre.
