Leaders of the National Citizens (NCP) have raised serious concern the government's failure to implement the July Charter.
NCP has announced a series of initiatives to bring the charter and its associated demands directly to the people.
On August 3, the party will organize a mass gathering at the Central Shaheed Minar, where it will publicly release the July Declaration and a political manifesto in the presence of students and citizens.
NCP convener Nahid Islam also declared that August 5 will be observed as "Liberation Day of Student-People" by students and youth activists, in a symbolic assertion of public ownership over the charter’s vision.
To further push their agenda, the NCP will organize a "July March" across all 64 districts of the country from July 1 to July 30.
The nationwide campaign will begin with a visit to the grave of Abu Sayeed, a prominent figure and symbol of resistance.
His death anniversary will be marked as "Anti-Discrimination Martyrs' Day," according to the party.
