Although their agreement with the government guarantees a gas pressure of 15 PSI, many stations have been receiving less than 2 PSI for the past six to seven months.

 As a result, station owners say they are losing between  3 to 7 lakh taka per month, with losses expected to increase further this month.

The low gas pressure has also caused long waiting times for customers. 

Owners warn that unless the crisis is resolved quickly, they may have no option but to shut down their stations.
