Although the intensity of winter has eased in mid-Magh, the cold is still being felt sharply during late nights across northern districts.

Temperatures are rising during the day but dropping significantly at night, creating wide fluctuations that are affecting daily life and public health.

Chuadanga recorded a minimum temperature of 12.8 degrees Celsius today, while Thakurgaon saw 14 degrees.

Despite sunshine in the morning, cold northern winds are keeping conditions chilly.

Day labourers, farmers and homeless people are suffering the most, while hospitals are seeing more patients with cold-related illnesses, especially children and the elderly.

Weather officials say temperatures may remain unstable for a few more days.
