Fire has destroyed several hundred shelters at a Rohingya refugee camp in Cox’s Bazar.
At least 500 shelters and shops were destroyed in a massive fire at Rohingya Camp 16 in Ukhiya, Cox’s Bazar.
The fire broke out around 3 am in the camp’s D-4 block.
Fire Service officials said, the blaze started at a learning center and quickly spread to nearby shelters.
2 units from Ukhiya Fire Service rushed to the scene.
After nearly 2 hours, the fire was brought under control. However, no casualties have been reported so far.
