Speaking at a press briefing at Manik Mia Avenue in the capital, he emphasized the law enforcement’s commitment to ensuring a safe and peaceful environment during the festivities.

 According to Commander Haque, large crowds are expected to gather for the concert and drone show scheduled at the venue, and steps have been taken to prevent any untoward incidents. 

He assured that no compromises were made in terms of security, and every precaution has been taken to allow the public to celebrate the New Year peacefully. 

He further stated that a four-layered security system has been implemented, including surveillance by plainclothes intelligence teams patrolling the area.
