Within the last 24 hours, three people have died with measles-like symptoms. A total of 1,061 patients are currently admitted to hospitals.
In Sylhet, two babies died with measles-like symptoms in the last 24 hours. The babies, aged six and nine months, died while receiving treatment at Osmani Medical College Hospital and Shaheed Shamsuddin Ahmed Hospital. They were from Habiganj and Sylhet districts.
The health department said the total number of deaths from measles and measles-like symptoms in the Sylhet division has now reached 138.
Meanwhile, another 115 patients were admitted to hospitals with measles-like symptoms in the past 24 hours. More than 300 patients with measles or similar symptoms are currently receiving treatment at different hospitals in Sylhet.
