Measles-related deaths continue to rise in Sylhet and Mymensingh as outbreaks worsen across hospitals.
In the past 24 hours, two more children have died due to measles symptoms in the two divisions.
In Mymensingh Medical College Hospital, one child died early in the morning, bringing the total deaths in the division to 51.
Meanwhile, another five-and-a-half-month-old child died at Sylhet’s Shahid Shamsuddin Ahmed Hospital.
Health authorities confirmed that Sylhet division’s death toll has now reached 69.
Although patient admissions have slightly decreased in Mymensingh, hospitals continue to report new cases daily.
