The number of infected children and those showing symptoms is increasing daily, with more hospital admissions reported.

A child undergoing treatment died at Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital this morning. With this, the death toll from measles and related complications in the Sylhet division has risen to 10 children.

Hospital source said, a total of 160 patients with measles symptoms are currently receiving treatment in various hospitals across the division. 

Of them, 83 patients are admitted to Shahid Shamsuddin Ahmed Hospital, and 10 are being treated at Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital, while the rest are receiving care at other medical facilities.
