The Agargaon to Motijheel portion of Metro Rail to be inaugurated on October 20. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the portion, which will accomplish the MRT Line-6. All sorts of preparation of this part has been taken.
Once it is launched, passengers will get full facility of travel from Uttara to Motijheel. However, initially, out of the seven stations in this section, three stations to be opened. After almost two months of testing, it is now waiting for the final trial.
Out of seven metro rail stations in Agargaon to Motijheel section, Farmgate, Secretariat and Motijheel station will be opened in the first phase.
However, by December, all stations of Metro Rail in this section will be opened. Metrorail will run every three minutes from Uttara to Motijheel from June next year.
The Metro Rail will carry about 60 thousand passengers every hour when it is in full service.
