Just a day after the death of his sister Nazia, her brother Nafir also succumbed to burn injuries sustained in the military plane crash
Nafir died shortly after midnight at the Intensive Care Unit of the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery.
According to doctors, 95 percent of his body had been severely burned.
His sister, Nazia, had died a day earlier with 90 percent burns.
The tragedy unfolded when a Bangladesh Air Force training aircraft crashed into the Milestone School premises.
The death toll now stands at 33, according to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).
6 bodies remain unidentified, and DNA testing is underway to confirm their identities.
Meanwhile, 164 people are still receiving treatment at various hospitals across the capital.
A medical team from Singapore is expected to arrive by midday to assist in the treatment and assessment of the burn victims.
