National Citizen Party- NCP has held a meeting with the Chief Election Commissioner- CEC to discuss party registration and voting rights for expatriate Bangladeshis.

Party representatives including Sarjis Alam, Nasir Uddin Patwari, and Hasnat Abdullah, along with their legal team, arrived at the Election Commission office in Agargaon this morning.

Before entering the CEC’s office, the leaders stated that the meeting was aimed at discussing registration issues and ways to ensure voting rights for overseas Bangladeshis in the upcoming national election.

No other election commissioners were present at the meeting.

Last month, NCP submitted their registration application and also met with the CEC.

The party’s first choice for an electoral symbol was the Water Lily, which is called 'Shapla' in Bangla, but the commission did not include it in the list of reserved symbols.
