National Identity Card (NID) services in Bangladesh have been disrupted due to server login complications, preventing officials from accessing key systems and affecting various service operations
On Tuesday (May 13), NID Director General ASM Humayun Kabir confirmed the issue.
According to him, officials were unable to log into the server due to the non-receipt of one-time passwords (OTPs) required for authentication.
As a result, online-based services, including new voter registration, correction, and updates, have been temporarily suspended.
However, identity verification services and core server functions remain operational.
