The Finance minister is going to allocate of 2 lakh 46 thousand crore taka for development in this year's budget, without any change in the implementation strategy.
However, in the first ten months of the current financial year, only 55 per cent of the ADP has been implemented.
According to the government's Project Implementation Monitoring and Evaluation Department, the ADP implementation rate till April of the current 2021-22 fiscal year is 55.1%.
The finance minister is going to allocate more than 2 lakh 46 thousand crore taka for the 2022-23 financial year. Of which transport and communication sector is at the top of the allocation. Power and energy sector is in the second position with an allocation of Tk 39,412 crore and education sector has got the third highest allocation.
Analysts say, in order to bring about qualitative change in the economy, it is necessary to increase the ADP allocation as well as ensure quality and 100% implementation.
