Following the assumption of office, newly appointed Chief of the Bangladesh Navy, Vice Admiral Khondkar Misbah Ul Azim, paid tribute to the martyrs of the Liberation War at Shikha Anirban in Dhaka Cantonment.
After laying a wreath, he signed the visitors' book at the memorial. Upon arriving at Naval Headquarters, he was accorded a formal guard of honour, inspected the parade, and received the salute.
Senior naval officials, including the Principal Staff Officer, were present at the ceremony.
The new Navy Chief reaffirmed his commitment to building a modern, technologically advanced, and capable naval force to safeguard the country's maritime interests.
