Home Affairs Adviser, Jahangir Alam Chowdhury has said, 13th parliamentary election , would set a historic precedent if police perform their duties professionally and impartially.
He made the remark, while addressing the passing-out parade of 41 BCS batch, at Rajshahi Police Academy on Sunday.
The adviser emphasized, that the police are not a force of any political party.
There is no scope for police members, to accept any financial benefit from candidates or their agents, he said firmly.
He added that while on duty, police personnel will not even ,be allowed to accept food from representatives of any candidate.
